The film tells the life of John Grogan (Owen Wilson), a young journalist who along with his wife Jenny (Jennifer Aniston) decides to start her new life as newlyweds leaving behind the cold of Michigan to change by the friendly atmosphere of West Palm Beach, Florida. There began their project to build family, but John is not sure you want to be a parent yet, so it follows the "wise" advice of his colleague Sebastian (Eric Dane) and gives him a labrador puppy cute Jenny. So Marley comes home from Grogan, who before long becomes a restless adult labrador that is a real disaster.
