In this effective comedy by Jay Roach, director of Austin Powers, Ben Stiller plays a young nurse who spends a disastrous weekend at the home of his girlfriend's parents. Greg Focker is in love with Pam Byrnes and go home to visit her parents as the perfect opportunity to propose.
However, Pam's father, Jack - played by Robert De Niro, feels an immediate rejection by the boyfriend of her daughter criticizes the work of nurses and highlights the differences between his future son-no great ambitions, liberal, Jewish and family-rich, conservative Christians. Amid a torrent of gags and tangles, Greg discovers that Jack worked as a CIA agent for 34 years.
